Bicycling pages on a writing and photography web site?

I organize bicycle tours and conduct bicycle education programs through Borealis Outdoor Adventure Inc. I also use a bicycle as my primary mode of transportation. I ride in town for errands and client meetings. I ride for leisure and recreation. I tour by bicycle on weekends and on vacation.

Riding a bike gives a person a different perspective on life. Cyclists see the details that others miss. Seeing the details - getting close to a subject - helps my writing and photography.

Reports from a few of my trips are posted here. As I continue to work on these pages, I'll be posting more stories from cycling, as well as advice for cyclists and other fun and useful cycling information.

For the record, I also drive a car. I ride a bicycle because I enjoy cycling, love the outdoors, and like to keep healthy, not because I hate automobiles. Cycling is not a political statement. I drive prudently, respect cyclists and pedestrians, and teach defensive driving and 55 Alive driver refresher courses for our local safety council.
